State Hotel Granville St.

Downtown Vancouver, BC
Commercial, Heritage Restoration

A meticulous façade restoration of the historic State Hotel, originally built in 1910. The project preserved the character of this Parr & Fee-designed landmark, which has been a key part of Granville Street’s evolving commercial and cultural landscape. The restoration maintained the building’s architectural integrity while integrating it into the modern retail environment. Completed in 2003, the work helped retain a piece of Vancouver’s heritage, even as future redevelopment plans continue to shape the area. The project received a Heritage Award from the City of Vancouver.
