This project introduces 16 new townhomes while preserving and restoring a historic character house, creating a thoughtful blend of heritage and contemporary residential design. A courtyard configuration was chosen as the optimal form to maximize the site’s potential while meeting the District Schedule’s objectives for medium-density development, incorporating a variety of dwelling types.

The single-level, ground-oriented units feature individual street-facing entrances, reinforcing a human-scaled streetscape and a strong connection to the neighbourhood. Designed to respond to the scale and character of Mount Pleasant, the development enhances urban density while retaining the heritage charm and pedestrian-friendly character of the area.

By harmoniously combining new and existing elements, the project reflects the evolving fabric of Uptown Vancouver, contributing to the community’s vibrancy, diversity, and livability.
