The Lewis & Humphreys Block, a three-story heritage building in Victoria’s Old Town, was originally constructed in 1891 as two adjoining commercial structures. Our renovation and restoration work preserved its historic façade and architectural character while adapting the interior for modern commercial use. The project maintains key heritage elements such as the Romanesque Revival brick arcading, rusticated stone detailing, and decorative cornice work, ensuring the building continues to contribute to Victoria’s historic streetscape. In addition to the heritage restoration, a new 12-unit residential building was introduced on the site. The building has been officially designated as a Heritage property by the City of Victoria.
